I linked: spacetime, pseudo-Riemannian manifold, metric tensor, geometrical laws, fermions, isomorphic, gauge fields, and quantum mechanics. Those are all separate subjects worth pursuing and unpacking. This is fun stuff. | |||
Then I realized that I'm not really even clear what a metric tensor is, so I followed the Wikipedia page, but it was a little overwhelming. So, I found a YouTube video. Then I figured, we could have a Metric Tensor page that becomes the on-ramp to understanding that concept. That page should answer the question, "As a layperson, how do I know what a Metric Tensor is?" Right now it's just a page that links to the YouTube video and Wikipedia, but eventually it will be more fleshed out and provide additional, clear resources for understanding the concept. https://theportal.wiki/wiki/Metric_tensor | |||
So, how can you help? Just do the same thing. Learn all the concepts in the GWT. Start with the Graph or the Wall. Find a topic and as you're learning, use the wiki as your notepad. Make it easier for the next person to follow your path. I know way less than a lot of the experts in here, but I have to start from where I am. And I'm using my lack of knowledge as a positive thing. I can document my journey in the wiki and minimize the amount of work/friction the next person has to contend with to get up to speed. | |||

I'm the guy who got this wiki up and running. For the past couple decades I've made my living as a web developer, so I'm happy to help the community with anything web related.

What's the Point of All This?
