 The era in which you are now able to puzzle over ideas (such as UAP's) as a public intellectual you were previously unable to without reputational damage, but you cannot consider potential solutions to those puzzles (is it aliens? Is China ahead of us? Is it a Defense stunt?)
-Does China have an inside track? No, there were no Chinese/ Hong Kong nationals aboard the crude oil carrier S S Sanko Stresa 5th March 1979 during a three hour long observation ( by 36 crew members ) of an authentic 'bell vessel' of extraterrestrial origin.
-Is it a defense stunt? None of the manoeuvres exhibited by these ' tic tacs ' bear any resemblance to the mode of propulsion clearly witnessed by crew members.
-Is / was it aliens? Undeniably so. Two sentient beings possessed of binocular vision, muscular limbs with dexterous  appendages, warm- blooded responses, curiosity and absent any malicious intent.
-At the time of writing, I feel that we can reverse engineer the propulsion system within 5 to 10 years. True international cooperation will be mandatory if the technology is not to be secretly turned into a weapons platform by rogue states - I am looking at two such anti human setups - America and Britain.
