Oral Torah vs Written Torah
I think there are two conflicting strategies dividing us that separately both make some sense:
A) FORMAL: At least *formally* extend every legal courtesy while even true facts are contested.
B) CUSTOM: Pressure POTUS to accept these results & âcut the crapâ as in all elections.
@MaajidNawaz you know i have a lot of respect for you, and this is meant in the most sincere way: why are you giving any credence to this stuff?
I think what has been dividing us many of us is what to do with a wily POTUS challenging customary norms on concessions.
Given that he is going this legal route do we change our tactic too as @MaajidNawaz may be doing, or do we go the @SamHarrisOrg route and say âThis is nuts.â
Itâs a trade off between legal culture and American democratic custom and tradition. As I have been saying for four years it is as if there is an Oral and a Written Torah of the US. Its customs vs its laws.
Donald Trump breaks all our norms. Thatâs his modus operandi. Such fun.
Honestly, I feel like we were supposed to be smarter and figure out how he divides us. But look at this idiotic infighting! Trump wins when he divides us. How is he doing @MaajidNawaz @benshapiro @SamHarrisOrg @RubinReport @BretWeinstein?
Out of vanity, Iâm not losing to Trump.
Not falling for this shit. Trump is not going to outsmart me and the people I love as the capstone of this four year term like no other. If I can help it anyway. The đ still needs people who continue to talk in public through their differences. More than ever.
