|content=@ScottAdamsSays @ManishPamwar Scott, the Wall Street Journal literally called for a “five word constitutional amendment” so as to make their position crystal clear and nuance free. Those five words were “There shall be open borders.” What do you imagine this is? It’s not persuasion. It’s fact. Simple fact.

|content=@ScottAdamsSays @ManishPamwar Scott, this isn’t remotely persuasive. Assume you have the label or string  “Open Borders” and you bind it to a large & influential movement. Then you have a large & influential “Open Borders” movement. It’s that simple. Also the movement itself eschews nuance: it’s just 5 words.

Assume your family has been *directly* targeted by your own government using deception, espionage, covert agents and dirty tricks in the past. Is it really a sign of mental illness to incorporate that into the present and take precautions against it by asking hard questions?

|content=One question I get a lot is "What explains your asymmetric focus on Democrats and the Left?"

The short answer, after some soul searching and introspection, is simply this: "The Gaslighting of Experts."

I see the Republican party fighting the experts they oppose. I don't see them trying to gaslight them much.

Let's say you are an economist who believes that higher taxes spent on infrastructure would be good for the nation. The right may fight you. They may call you a name like "Libtard" or "Commie". And that is absolutely awful behavior to me. Truly. But they aren't nearly as likely to coordinate behind the scenes in emails to be discovered later and all agree to pretend, seemingly independently, that as a former expert you have committed some unclear moral crime that means you can never be empaneled or invited onto a commission. They aren't immediately going to treat you like a mental patient, a con-artist, or threat to society. They are just going to be asses. That's the dopey game they love: "Happy Warriors" is what they call it.

And the subjects I focus on most tend to be the places where I think dissenting experts are being gaslit:

COVID ORIGINS

SOUTHERN BORDER

STRING THEORY

POTUS COGNITIVE STATE AND AGE

EPSTEIN'S INTELLIGENCE CONNECTION

COVID MANAGEMENT

QUESTIONING UKRAINE NATO STRATEGY

INFLATION/GROWTH MEASUREMENT

MONETARY AGGREGATES AND FED INTERVENTION

VP COMPETENCY

ASYMMETRIC TREATMENT OF CONTESTING ELECTIONS and VIOLENT CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE

VACCINE INJURY DISCUSSION

SEX AND GENDER REDEFINITION

ANDREW YANG / TULSI GABBARD / RON PAUL / ETC. PRIMARY MANIPULATION

SOCIAL MEDIA COMPANY INTERFERENCE

DENIED LEGACY UAP PROGRAMS

HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP STORY

DIRTY TRICKS CAMPAIGNS / DOMESTIC SPYING

NON-CONSENSUAL HUMAN TESTING (infectious agents, radioactivity)

BAILOUTS

MAXIMALIST STRUCTURAL BIGOTRY CLAIMS

LABOR MARKET FLOODING VIA IMMIGRATION

RELIGIOUS TERRORISM

Etc.

In all cases above, there is some absolutely *MASSIVE* long-term lying and obfuscation. Not small. Not excusable. I am talking about massive lies. Lies that last decades. Lies too large to choke a blue whale.

And they incinerate dissenting experts as pretend neer-do-wells for the crime of dissenting from consensus.

What is the point of becoming an expert Stanford or Harvard professor if you can be turned into a "Fringe Epidemiologist" like @DrJBhattacharya was overnight by some washington insiders like Colins and Fauci?

To an academic: it makes life pointless. Everything we are becomes pointless if that is allowed to stand.

So, this is what I have to say: I appear to be focused on gaslighting of dissenting experts more than politics.

It's not that I don't have political opinions. I do. It's that I haven't been able to focus on them for years. All we seem to do these days is deal with gaslighting on our top line issues above.

And the formula is quite simple. An expert can have:

A) Reach.</br>
B) Reputation.</br>
C) Independence.

but no more than 2 out of 3.

This is a terrible rule. And whoever attempts to enforce that rule, is who I fight. Unfortunately, that group has been my own historic political party as transformed over 30 years.

And, in my opinion, they deserve to continue to hemorrage credibility for that crime against their own until they end this tactic. It's a crime against everything I believe with all my soul. We need *DISSENTING* experts to right our listing ship on all of the above and more.

Check the above list. That's no small thing. It's about the destruction of a country that I dearly love and which the world needs desperately to come back at this moment.

Thanks for hearing me out.

|content=It’s not a bad take at all from 2022!

But I think we can and should now build upon it and take it much further in 2024.

The new version of the Democratic Party, together with its supportive media and subservient universities are in the process of embittering and radicalizing *EVERY* single last US dissenter. Literally everyone who dissents from the party narratives is coming to despise the leadership of the party and its media. Name me the independent Democratic Party dissenters, who are huge fans of the Biden/Harris ticket. They don’t exist. They aren’t real. Here’s why.

Tell me if you recognize the following playbook:

“That seems odd.” —->Conspiracy Theorist!

“I’m thinking of starting my own newsletter/podcast/channel to discuss and explore what I don’t see discussed in mainstream media and academe.” —-> Grifter!! Narcissist!

“Trump is actually making kind of an effective point.”  —-> Cancelled!

“I actually looked at the data and primary sources which don’t say exactly what you are claiming.” ——> Ha ha. Dunning-Kruger!

“I don’t know that I fully agree with that.” —-> Far Right extremist!

“I have a different take on that.” —-> Charlatan. Total charlatan.

“There is weirdly an interesting parallel there between two different points.”  ——> Stay in your lane!

“This DEI agenda seems pretty extreme in a bunch of places.” ——-> Bigot!

Etc.

——————

I have watched the White House invite relatively random ‘influencers’ for briefings. But no one who actually has their own ideas. No one at all.

The party is increasingly about one thing:
“Let us think for you. Let us be your eyes and your ears. Make our new words and phrases into your language. Let our talking point memos be your dinner table conversation perspectives. Surrender.”

And everyone with a soul or a dissenting idea in their head starts looking rightwards whether or not they have ANY INTEREST at all in Republican ideas. I don’t look to the Republican Party for ideas or platform planks. I think only about one thing: “Can I afford to think for myself here?”

Quite honestly, I can’t think around the true believers in the Democratic Party. My brain doesn’t work around this totalitarian gaslighting.

And I assure you this is why Joe Biden is going to lose as this continues: you cannot gaslight an entire nation of free people into hating each other this completely for this long.

Biden has dementia and cognitive loss. He has for some time. Harris is not fit to command the army. I didn’t create that. I merely observed it. For YEARS.

But pretending that *everyone* who sees a buck naked emperor is a charlatan is no longer working very well.

The emperor is naked and has been for some time. He has been protected by a party leadership that needs to be retired.

The Democratic Party leadership is sending almost all smart people fleeing for no other reason than that smart free people want to retain the right to dissent without character assasination.

Sooner or later, we all feel like Elon does when shat upon. Everyone. Full stop.

|content=Just arrived in the Bay Area at the invitation of @NicoleShanahan’s campaign to sit down with my friend and colleague Stanford Prof. @DrJBhattacharya, and the man I am most eager to meet on the subject of all things mind control, @MikeBenzCyber.

The recent practice of creating supposed “expert  consensus” by relentlessly smearing expert dissenters as dangerous people, is at the heart of an unholy machine destroying institutional trust.

Nicole challenged me: “If a campaign were actually interested in fixing the United States, what would it do?” I think I mumbled something like “It might go get Benz and Bhattacharya in a room as the beginning  of convening the expert voices that everyone pretends don’t exist.” These guys are, after all, absolute unsung heroes to many of us.

Well
Boom. Called my bluff. They mapped it out. It begins tomorrow.

And here’s the crazy part: there’s no ask. I did not see that coming; Nicole and @RobertKennedyJr’s campaign is simply serious about fixing whatever ails us. I’m just stunned. And very impressed!

This X space should be awesome. Join us tomorrow, August 7, 2024.

We will work to make this a great X space. Thanks to @elonmusk for keeping this platform free. Please retweet and share Nicole’s tweet with anyone who wants to end the usual gaslighting to get back to what we do best.

Let’s get that American mojo back.

|content=Imagine for one moment that we said what was likely true:

“It is imperative to those charged with protecting and enforcing the international ‘Rules Based Order’, that the United States and its security allies have a backdoor to all file encryption as well as every encrypted communications platform.”

Then we could at least discuss what is going on. We could debate its pros and cons and the moral constraints it raises. We could discuss it in the context of the need for search and seizure in rare circumstances codified by law.

But calling it “Democracy”, or the need to end “On-line disinformation”
Is turning whatever this is into an embittering slide into propoganda, gaslighting and tyranny. This is madness.

If you think “the people” can’t be let in on democracy, you have a tough road ahead.

You can’t spread democracy by having to thwart it at every turn.

Which raises the question: if not democracy, freedom and free speech, just what is it that we are spreading?

|content=Please follow @MikeBenzCyber.

A thought after talking with him: perhaps we all need to stop using the word “Intelligence” so much. Why? Because it is doing a lot of the work to cloak what we need to be worrying about: Covert Operations.

To remind ourselves, Covert Operations are operations with Gaslighting plans built into their structure in case they are exposed. They are the operations that can’t be exposed and have deniability built into their foundations even if that means destroying reporters, politicians, experts and civilians who get wind that something stinks.

Imagine you broke the Intelligence Community (IC) into two groups:

A) The actual intelligence community.</br>
B) The covert operations community.

My claim is that the lion’s share of the controversy about the IC is no longer about intelligence at all. It’s about covert operations.

It’s about killings, physically extracting information from prisoners, toppling governments, destroying reputations, training and arming paramilitaries, kompromat, running arms/drugs, propaganda, gaslighting etc.

Everytime we call this the Intelligence Community, we are doing the work of the Covert Operations Community (COC).

The IC isn’t without controversy. Listening in on secure communications, befriending humans to learn secrets, posing as people who do not exist, etc is also controversial.

But it is not remotely the same thing as sabotaging the brake lines on a family sedan, fixing elections or destroying the reputation of well meaning civilian experts whose expertise threatens to uncover their own government’s covert plots that they know nothing about.

Imagine there were a CIA and a COA (Covert Operations Agency) broken out and funded as *separate* entities. Perhaps 95% of the concern would be about the COA. Not the CIA. Which is why intelligence is in some sense acting as cover.

I do worry about the Intelligence  Community. A little.

I worry about the Covert Operations operators every day. It’s in my news. It’s in my markets. It’s in every attempt to figure out what is actually going on in the world (e.g. Ukraine, physics, energy markets, elections). It is a large part of why we cannot think straight. An enormous structure that pretends to be not worth worrying about.

That is the source of  propoganda, gaslighting, character assasination, torture, and murder. All protected by the idea that worrying about such actual people and actions can be taken as a sign of paranoia and mental illness! This is really incredibly sick. Also: genius. You have to give credit to these people. It’s an amazing thing to have people who question you, automatically self incinerate merely because they questioned what you were doing.

The problem isn’t intelligence. It’s covert operations. It’s the implicit COA, not the CIA.

And why is this? It’s because if there were a National Conspiracy Department in the form of a COC it would be a normal thing to ask about the nature of its work. Its budget. Its ethical restrictions. Its successes and failures. Etc. Even if you believe, as I do, that we unfortunately need such capacity in a dangerous world.

In its absence, only a paranoid conspiracy theorist would focus on such crazy things involving intelligence agencies. Who is against intelligence, after all? Certainly not me.

Genius. Pure genius.

|content=This is part of the problem with debunking.

You see, I don’t know what Covid is. Is it a science project? A miraculous spontaneous mutation? A bioweapon leak?

I don’t know.

But what I do know was that there was TREMENDOUS pressure to say something false about the Wuhan Labs.

Likewise here: I don’t know what happened in Dallas. What I feel confidence in is that we have been lying about telling all we know about what happened in Dallas.

Same with UFOs. What do I know? Very little. But what little I do know is that too many grownups in Govt are talking about something real. That real thing could be a fake program. Or cover for physics research. Or many things.

But the debunking thing has a different energy. I appreciate all you do to explain videos and sightings that have genuinely prosaic explanations. Truly.

What I don’t believe at all is that there is no use of UFO SAPs by the USG. I think we create SAPs and we ruin people’s lives around them when good folks can’t let go of the fact that they saw or experienced or interacted with something we know a lot about.

That’s my issue. Discrediting behavior targeted on individuals to protect programs with claims of national interest.

|content=I think you are avoiding the reality that at a minimum, our government(s) is/are almost certainly faking a UFO/NHI presence from time to time. That we have UFO/NHI SAPs that we deny. That UFO/NHI is used as cover for aerospace at a minimum. That we do harm to our own people by pretending that everything has a prosaic explanation.

And that you are not debunking the govt bunk (at a minimum).

My issue is treating our own people like garbage. I despise gaslighting our own people. And the energy you bring is that we don’t need to go to that layer.

Again: I’m the only guy in UFO space who has seen nothing conclusive about NHI. I’m with you on that.

But I do think there was a secret serious physics research program that was affiliated with this UFO anti-gravity stuff. I think Roger Babson and Agnew Bahnson were likely CIA or IC cutouts. I think this is all bound up in the “Golden Age of General Relativity”.

And I wish you would stop pretending it’s all innocent mistakes, coincidences, people making silly claims. A lot of it is. Sure.

But after you strip that off, a lot of what’s left is toxic NatSec gaslighting. And if you can’t face that I’d prefer you stop. Because you then hurt the people who got gaslit.

|content=Let’s find out if true.

Do you believe that the U.S. may have created “Craft?” Like deliberate mock ups in hangars.

I do. I think it is likely that some of our people had *real* run-ins with fake craft.

Do you believe that there are *real* stories from our top people and ordinary joes about fake aerial events? Like where we know what people saw, and yet we tell them it was nothing. Like a seagull. Or a contrail. Or Venus. Or a Mylar balloon.

I do. And that is where I part company with you often. Not because you are mean. But because I don’t want this done to our own people, and I have never seen you aggressively go after this. If I am wrong, you have my apology in advance. Happy to make it.

Do you believe that the U.S. maintained a secret zero insignia airforce that operated by descending on citizens collecting information, and destroying and confiscating equipment / data and that it physically intimidated US citizens in large empty western states near testing areas without identifying itself?

I do. And it is so unbelievable that I didn’t think this was possible until friends reported it happened to them. I believe that this had to do with the CIA office of “Global Access”.

Do you believe that @pmarca and @bhorowitz were told that entire areas of theoretical physics were taken off line by the Biden Whitehouse, while researchers have been in 52 year denied stagnation in Standard Model Physics? Which makes no sense. Why aren’t we trying new things???

I do. And there has been bizarre lack of interest for any major news desk to get to the bottom of this claim.

Do you believe that there was a giant secret anti-gravity program, attached to UAP, with many of the world’sbtop physicists within it? And that it was funded by two likely IC cutouts Babson and Bahnson?

I do. It was called the “Golden Age of General Relativity.”

Do you believe that UFOs were cover for aerospace
and that aerospace was cover for physics? And that top physics people were in and out of Aerospace where they had *no* particular reason to be other than secret research?

I do. Like RIAS in Baltimore. And Feynman’s adventures in Buffalo. And L Witten at Wright-Patt. Etc etc.

I’m fed up with being lied to Mick by NatSec incompetents. I have my PhD in this area which is strangely unusable. No one is doing real fundamental research anywhere in physics Mick. Or haven’t you noticed that this changed in 40+ years. It’s like a medieval philosophy cult now.

This is all touching physics. Not Bokeh. Not Mylar. This is largely about the magic and power of a science that gave us god like power and then mysteriously stalled, and now cannot be restarted no matter how cheap and easy it would be to do it.

This (above) is a lot about post Manhattan Project public physics bullshit. Not seagulls.

Some of it is material science. Some
of it is nukes. But gravity is in this game. And who knows what else. And quantum gravity is the nonsense we can’t question. The likely cover story if you will.

I don’t care about đŸ‘œ. I care about NatSec gaslighting of our own PhD level mathematicians and physicists. The children of Teller (Particle Theory), Ulam (Geometry), and Einstein (Gravity). All of whom were central to the Bomb.

Wanna debunk the cover stories? If so I’ll join ya.

|content=I appreciate the thoughtful answer.

I think it come down to this. You write:

“Aggressively go after what? The military saying things that are not true in order to keep secret stuff secret? Some people getting hurt? Sure, ideally that wouldn't happen. But also ideally, we'd have universal health care, the lack of which ruins many more lives than hyper-rare UFO-themed cover-ups. Yes, I'd prefer less lying and fucking with people, but forgive me if I don't get too excited about such a minor (albeit very interesting) issue.”

If I thought that this was a minor issue I might agree with you.

I think we may have just killed millions with an escaped science experiment called “COVID”. I think the government gaslighting its own scientists and intimidating those who refuse the gaslighting is an absolutely major issue. It’s immoral. It’s illegal. And it’s potentially world altering.

Our government is likely by far the most major actor in the science bunko story. And I want bunk out of science. Starting with Nature, Princeton, the Lancet, Harvard, NSF, and Communications in Mathematical Physics.

So that is where we differ. What you are looking at with junky video analysis is helpful. But in my opinion it is the “minor (albeit very interesting) issue”. The major issue is government control of and subordination of science to NatSec disinformation and misinformation. Like COVID.

So we found the source of our issue. I take @pmarca very seriously on this. I want top scientists in the room who can restrain those NatSec people who can’t keep a virus confined to a secure laboratory meant to circumvent our participation in the bioweapns agreements. I want physicists in the room who say “Wait: why are we doing the same thing for decades that clearly doesn’t work while not pursuing other paths?” I want economists saying “But that would be faking a lower inflation number to raise taxes and slash benefits in a way that the public couldn’t grasp.”

And you are more worried about ghost stories spreading unimpeded because people see ordinary things that are just kinda misinterpreted. That’s noble. But I don’t intuit why that is the major issue.

à chacun son goût

Thx.

2017[edit]

CNN is complaining about Gaslighting.

Yes, I'm totally serious. https://t.co/ers7Efvy9v

4:13 PM · Jan 11, 2017

Russell Conjugation Excercise:

I report engaging news narratives. You shade the truth for pay and clicks. He gaslights innocent Americans.

4:20 PM · Jan 11, 2017

@diomavro I tried something like that which was over 140c. Something like "You selectively curate for pay and clicks." But it's ephemera.

4:42 PM · Jan 11, 2017

@Georgesearchin George, I think you & I are seeing this differently. I see DJT as part of a response to a terrifying bullying establishment.

3:47 AM · Jan 12, 2017

@Georgesearchin I viewed those risks very seriously. Peter countered that the risks of my being too cautious were potentially even greater.

4:33 AM · Jan 12, 2017

@wayfarersprayer @Georgesearchin I believe that's what's going on: folks forgiving personal aggression responding to institutional bullying.

1:40 PM · Jan 13, 2017

@Georgesearchin @wayfarersprayer I'm a bit lost in a fight among bullies. I'm not a bully yet I've bullied bullies to stop bullying. Tough.

4:49 PM · Jan 13, 2017

2019[edit]

Inadvertently, I’ve discovered that some of my followers believe there is no “Open Borders” movement. They believe no one has proposed Open Borders.

I just don’t know what to make of this. Does the WSJ not exist?? Do search engines live in my imagination?? Anyone? A little help.

6:20 PM · Jan 16, 2019

@skullthrown Right. But then look in this thread you will see people saying “name one politician....”. Then the goalposts move to policy “Show me anywhere some one has called for a policy...” So you show them a proposed constitutional amendment. Then they say “No show me....”

It is bizarre.

6:28 PM · Jan 16, 2019

@ScottAdamsSays Hi Scott,

I’m lost. I see no parallel with flat earthers. What is going on?

This isn’t subtle,

@TrumpsMegaHair @ScottAdamsSays Si, eso es correcto. ¿Es mi escuela secundaria española tan mala? Si es así, me disculpo!

Never did get the hang of the pluscuamperfecto...

7:39 PM · Jan 16, 2019

@TrumpsMegaHair @ScottAdamsSays I also apologize for the tweet above. No palabras or Spaniards were harmed in its misconstruction. Only sensibilities.

7:42 PM · Jan 16, 2019

@TrumpsMegaHair This is so fascinating:

https://t.co/OVuw0esVUE

7:46 PM · Jan 16, 2019

@ScottAdamsSays Laundry list persuasion? Hadn’t heard that one. You may want to rethink the boundaries of your “persuasion” argument.

My standard reply to someone making a falsifiable claim is to civilly falsify it. So we may be at an impasse here. Something is way off on this one. Be well.

7:56 PM · Jan 16, 2019

@ScottAdamsSays @ManishPamwar Scott, the Wall Street Journal literally called for a “five word constitutional amendment” so as to make their position crystal clear and nuance free. Those five words were “There shall be open borders.” What do you imagine this is? It’s not persuasion. It’s fact. Simple fact.

8:15 PM · Jan 16, 2019

@ScottAdamsSays @ManishPamwar Scott, this isn’t remotely persuasive. Assume you have the label or string “Open Borders” and you bind it to a large & influential movement. Then you have a large & influential “Open Borders” movement. It’s that simple. Also the movement itself eschews nuance: it’s just 5 words.

8:56 PM · Jan 16, 2019

@ScottAdamsSays @ManishPamwar I don’t care for whack-a-mole persuasion. You can admit that you are just wrong on this point. Not wrong as a person or a mind. You are simply wrong on a matter of decidable fact. What I‘m waking up to is that there are a huge number of folks, all wrong on this one weird point.

9:00 PM · Jan 16, 2019

@ScottAdamsSays @ManishPamwar Hi @ScottAdamsSays, meet @fmanjoo. Farhad, Scott Adams creator of Dilbert. Scott has compared the Open Borders movement to the Flat Earth society in number and significance. In essence it doesn’t exist to him.

I can’t tell what this claim is even about: https://t.co/0QIqtkouYf

7:10 PM · Jan 17, 2019

@ScottAdamsSays @ManishPamwar @fmanjoo I see the OBM discussed everywhere and Flat Earth discussed nowhere. Can you two sort this out? Farhad it seems like you not only exist, but have access to the NYT Op-Ed space. I don’t get this. Scott seems to think it’s about a persuasion issue (which I find non persuasive). 🙏

7:13 PM · Jan 17, 2019

@fmanjoo @ScottAdamsSays @ManishPamwar Sure. That would makes sense. Except that it doesn’t check out at all. At all.

I mean if the Economist, The WSJ, The Gaurdian, and The NYT were all talking about the earth being flat. Then sure. But. I mean this just plain false. It’s like gaslighting:

https://t.co/OVuw0esVUE

7:52 PM · Jan 17, 2019

Keep in mind that Sanders/Yang/Paul/Nader aren’t linked by much other than “game rejection” & “frame rejection”. These are the cardinal sins. It‘s simply the decision to start actually wrestling with ideas inside of the professional wrestling of politics that gets this treatment.

12:18 PM · Sep 06, 2019

I saw this with Bernie Sanders. I saw it with Ralph Nader. I saw it with Ron Paul. It is a gaslighting reserved for those candidates from outside of Kayfabe.

Come on The Portal Podcast @AndrewYang. It’s not for you to be saying this. Much of the media *is* running against you.

12:18 PM · Sep 06, 2019

2020[edit]

One option is to complain that he should be on the absurd Truman Show stage. Which is reasonable enough.

There are other options however. In professional wrestling this is the difference between a ‘work’ (fakery) & a ‘shoot’ (actual sport).

The US cries out for a shoot. Mutiny.

10:01 PM · Jan 14, 2020

Social media engineers: feel free to shadow ban, down rank, and deboost the above intemperate outburst. #MutinyOnTheDNC

10:04 PM · Jan 14, 2020

Andrew has nothing to do with my being fed up with the DNC on his behalf.

After the infinite MSNBC gaslighting campaign, I personally just can’t stand it anymore. I didn’t elect MSNBC, the DNC or anyone else in this process. They are now simply that which must be handed a loss.

10:10 PM · Jan 14, 2020

I‘ll always remember being told by experts, mandarins & media that this Iowa scream raised *serious* questions about Howard Dean’s unhinged mental state. It was the biggest crock-of-shit gaslighting I could imagine. Beyond.

Media lies. Learn their tricks: https://t.co/Tqq4BzDl26

1:59 AM · Feb 04, 2020

I am getting versions of this same report from multiple states: hospitals forbidding medical staff from protecting themselves.

It is as if the public is being asked to sacrifice for doctors/nurses today. And they are being asked to sacrifice today for tomorrow’s doctors/nurses.

10:20 PM · Mar 31, 2020

All the while it seems we are trying to avoid a have vs have not inequality of who gets masks and who goes without.

This is mentally sick. Can the wizards behind the public health curtain come out and explain why we are torturing and gaslighting our own best people?

10:20 PM · Mar 31, 2020

Let me imagine I took your foreign intrigue angle at face value.

Well, that could explain:

A) The bizarre 2020 coverage of @AndrewYang & @TulsiGabbard.

B) Under coverage & non-condemnation of radical actions by ANTIFA/BLM.

C) Lack of follow-up on Epstein.

So: Follow that up.

4:18 PM · Sep 02, 2020

The most biased gaslighting most of us see is our own corporate media. *If* foreign powers were REALLY a threat, it would likely be because they would be deep in our MSM/Tech where we have clear persistent bias patterns that so far defy explanation. So: Turn the lens on yourself.

4:18 PM · Sep 02, 2020

In other words, most of us are worried about Facebook, the DNC/RNC, CNN, FOX, NPR, PRC, Twitter and Google tipping the scales and manipulating everything.

You worry endlessly about Russia.

Well: why not entertain the question if CNN et al’s coverage bias is foreign manipulated?

4:18 PM · Sep 02, 2020

Do you remember 10K accounts swarming over this tweet telling me I was lying?

When the polls showed a large Biden lead? That I was in a “hipster coffee shop” making this up?

You are all so certain. And you never learn.

Looking for 10K Democratic apologies that will never come.

5:43 PM · Sep 03, 2020

Let me try again. We the Democrats are correct that Trump is a bullshitter. But here is what we don’t get: Bullshitting doesn’t automatically lose if you choose Gaslighting as a strategy.

And somehow we the Democrats have become the party of Gaslighting.

https://t.co/KBtDHRTX30

5:43 PM · Sep 03, 2020

Well, that lead in the polls narrowed. And I believe a lot of it is this forced thinking that is being pushed on folks.

I’m sure if I told you that I talk to Black friends who HATE BLM for its racism, Marxism and divisiveness, I will be told that they don’t exist.

That’s crazy.

5:43 PM · Sep 03, 2020

Can one even ask the questions:

“Is BLM and its leadership Marxist and racist?”

“What do we make of the George Floyd Body-cam footage?”

“Does ANTIFA exist as a violent organization?”

Well this is not keeping a big tent together. This is gaslighting.

https://t.co/efmTRoBOxK
5:43 PM · Sep 03, 2020

What this is shaping up as is a bizarre “Choose your own apocalypse!” Vote.

Republicans: Party of Bullshiters

Democrats: Party of Gaslighters

And people have *private* trauma here which determines which they fear most. Dems with Gaslighting trauma are now going to break away.

5:43 PM · Sep 03, 2020

We the Left are not our Democratic Party leadership. And we never signed up with a blood oath to gaslight our Republican rivals for two reasons:

A) It is evil.

B) It is the one thing that is most likely to get us four more years of Donald Trump.

Gaslighting is a losing game.🙏

5:43 PM · Sep 03, 2020

@aproposzero I think you missed existential risk.

4:06 AM · Sep 04, 2020

The main take away from the 2020 election: we simply don’t have an expert class anymore.

We have gaslighting by activists & cheerleaders instead who are almost reliably wrong about almost everything almost all the time.

I‘ll return to institutional gaslighting post-decision. 🙏

7:44 AM · Nov 05, 2020

2021[edit]

The strategy of the modern Democratic Party is the intellectual gaslighting & systematic misportrayal of anyone who calls bullshit on the Democratic Party BS strategy of gaslighting & systematic misportrayal.

ANTIFA simply outlived its electoral function: https://t.co/SZckJZWZXk

6:53 PM · Jan 02, 2021

The modern Democratic Party and its affiliated media and academics have nothing to do with “The Left”. They has nothing to do with Progressivism. They are merely a strategy to serve their own insiders.

It is time to oust their leadership and replace it with our actual thinkers.

This was my attempt to avert what I knew was coming in January 6th.

It committed the ultimate media sin: bringing us together towards mutual understanding. You should reach out to @joerogan or any of us who have tried to stand apart. Don Lemon and Rachel Maddow can’t do this.

9:13 PM · Jan 06, 2021

You can say treason all you want, but Trump supporters will never listen to anyone who denies the gaslighting over the last 4 years.

Point me to any group who has been better at keeping both major camps together and I will boost that signal.

Enough. 🙏

9:13 PM · Jan 06, 2021

Consider:

@TheRealBuzz
@joerogan
@BretWeinstein
@samharris and @benshapiro
@coldxman
Etc..

And anyone else who has stood outside of this madness is more valuable than anyone who has called only strike or only balls for four years.

It is time to contact the other voices.

Wow. The really bad guys are congratulating themselves for successfully conspiring and gaslighting against the even worse guys?

For America? Clearly I’ve lost this storyline...

5:47 PM · Feb 05, 2021

@wwordsalad I think I just said I don’t know how to think about this. Check the punctuation. Thx.

5:50 PM · Feb 05, 2021

Is there no one in an institutional position of power who resembles an ethical adult?

5:52 PM · Feb 05, 2021

@peckinpahpatrol It’s amazing

5:52 PM · Feb 05, 2021

@NickSzabo4 @jack Actually, more generally, can we get a version of academic freedom on this platform @jack? Some of us take risks to speak against lying authorities. I’m sick of relitigating. One of the things that keeps even @TwitterSafety in check is folks who refuse authoritarian coordination.

7:35 PM · Feb 05, 2021

No one believes in your opaque Terms of Service. @TwitterSafety is artificially controlling our conversation determining who I can see & who I cannot.

Point Blank: You do *not* have the right to manipulate the US national conversation just because it takes place on your servers.

1:08 PM · Feb 15, 2021

@jack, I am asking you as a friend and as a STEM PhD who has been responsible on your platform for over a decade to grant some heterodox tweeters academic freedom. Let some of be those who watch the watchers of your @TwitterSafety. We all need oversight of the oversight.

1:08 PM · Feb 15, 2021

Dear @jack:

I believe I must repeatedly violate @vijaya & @TwitterSafety rules to be honest about official lies. I believe you/they are also manipulating my reach. I call for an end to the opaque manipulation of the national conversation: we have a right to know your algorithms.

1:08 PM · Feb 15, 2021

The few of you who will be able to see this thread at the beginning: please retweet the lead tweet. My reach is being controlled in ways I cannot understand. Many fewer of you are being shown these tweets than were previously. But they must always show this to a subset of you. 🙏

1:08 PM · Feb 15, 2021

NOTE: I am noticing how I seldom see tweets from my friends with large followings the way I used to unless I visit their timelines. I’m noticing how much longer it now takes to grow a following on Twitter compared to other platforms. This is increasingly feeling like gaslighting: https://t.co/g4UpboG4U8

1:20 PM · Feb 15, 2021

@DontYaHatePants I agree with that. Some see too many others see too few. And it induces us to have to repeat ourselves. Obviously.

It’s enough already.

1:24 PM · Feb 15, 2021

It is so odd. Vaccines work well generally. But we insist on not only overselling them, but doing so in a simplistic way, to the point of gaslighting & vilifying those who question.

When we oversell in this fashion, we embitter people who learn the truth. https://t.co/plQ5EYVAcu

10:43 PM · May 17, 2021

We need to purge the leaders of every institution who attempted to control the COVID dialog by maligning, discrediting and gaslighting all those who said the Wuhan Lab was a scientific possibility that must not be taken off the table.

The Law of The Gated Institutional Narrative: Every story that starts out to be about some particular topic, once reported, instantly comes to be about perseveration, framing, coordination, gaslighting & narrative.

In my own opinion, this is extremely dangerous to our democracy.

9:03 PM · Nov 19, 2021

Predictable application of The Law of The Gated Institutional Narrative:

Every important story that begins as something else, once reported, now will always end up instantly being about gaslighting, perseveration, framing, distortion, Russell Conjugation, omission, etc.

#crash

12:23 AM · Nov 24, 2021

If the races were reversed, do you have any question that this would be reported as an assumed terrorist attack by a white supremacist perpetrating a hate crime?

Not only do I have no doubt, I also know that you have no doubt.

We’re in monstrous territory. Our media as monster.

12:27 AM · Nov 24, 2021

And no, I’m not tweeting about the crash. I’m not tweeting about any motive. I’m not tweeting about my ability to read your mind.

I’m talking about how media would choose to cover the SAME loss. Accident, Manslaughter, homicide, murder; the fact that matters to the GIN is race.

12:42 AM · Nov 24, 2021

Many anti-woke liberals and progressives never signed up for these big sweeping statements. I don’t believe genes are irrelevant, inclusion is always positive, diversity is always more productive, borders should be open, etc. I have hypocrisy, but those are insane dumb ideas.

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

One can say: “I want to live in an unequal world where that unevenness is modest and maximally reflective of contribution rather than race, color or creed.”

Or you can say “I believe in equality of outcome!” and then grant yourself an unprincipled exception from your Gulfstream.

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

One way is to look at the world as progressing, but subject to the constraints of what is possible.

The second way is to espouse a beautiful route to an impossible future and then grant oneself exceptions to living under the applications of those rule.

For example, “equality.”

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

The phrase “Unprincipled Exception” was introduced to me by a friend. It has explained to me something I could not understand on my own: why have so many formerly sane democrats gone loopy.

Late to the UE party. But the idea is that there are very different ways to be liberal.

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

The punchline will be that a liberalism built unduly on unprincipled exceptions **must** descend into wholesale gaslighting at scale with the introduction of the Internet.

It’s now too easy to challenge the exceptions. So fear must be induced. Cancellation for those who resist..

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

For reasons I cannot explain, it takes many less courage to live on unprincipled exceptions to suicidal beliefs than to take the hit up front (e.g. I personally am pro-tribal.) but then not have to live knowing your philosophy can be knocked over with a feather at any moment.

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

You don’t have to say “Borders are wrong!” only to live a life impossible under open borders by having some carve-out.

Bottom line is that liberalism without undue reliance on unprincipled exceptions is possible, but a minority position. Hence the anti-woke left is rather small.

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

But anti-tribalism is the failed instantiation of a good idea. You don’t have to be anti-tribalism to want to prevent genocides or communal violence. You can be for adaptive tribalism in a modern world. Xenophilic restrictionism is another example of this. A consistent position.

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

But I now better understand the confusions. If you think those big dumb ideas can be kept from destroying you by invoking unprincipled exceptions, you are being separated from first principles thinking at a deep level.

For example, if I’m not anti-tribalist, that makes me “bad”.

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

This distinguishes me from conservatives who see liberalism as sloganeering plus a hypocrisy of exceptions. But it would require courage to carry out what I am advocating.

More to come. But wanted to share this with anyone else wondering why they were fighting their own side.🙏

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

My fight is then recast: liberalism cannot live on this level of “unprincipled exception handling” or it will destroy itself in the age of the Internet. We must rebase on more realism or abandon it & admit it doesn’t work.

I believe that liberalism CAN base itself on reality.

6:39 PM · Dec 24, 2021

2022[edit]

This from @MSNBC.

I can’t even hold in my head, the idea that @msnbc would be airing this. Isn’t this *their* playbook? It seems like complaining about the loss of media gaslighting as a monopoly. Or something.

Cc: @AndrewYang

@saudev001 @MSNBC @AndrewYang Thief admonishes the policeman in reverse? Help a brother out. I like it, but want to get the sense exactly and don’t know the idiomatic expression.

6:00 PM · Apr 26, 2022

@saudev001 @MSNBC @AndrewYang That’s why I gathered, but had zero confidence. Thanks!

Twitter has been Kayfabe for years.

#Kayfabrication

5:12 AM · Apr 27, 2022

Remember those who told you that Twitter was using its power to create a Truman Show for each of us.

But more importantly, try to remember & unfollow bad actors who told you it was whining to claim such a thing..

That was the game. Ridicule anyone who mentioned the gaslighting.

5:12 AM · Apr 27, 2022

I don’t know this to be true but it is possible that Twitter is going to go through a process of de-Kayfabrication before acquisition completes. If so it is very rare. Imagine if professional wrestling had to go back to holding real matches.

This almost never happens. Let’s see.

5:16 AM · Apr 27, 2022

In fact the truths, insights, facts, analysis, etc. are pretty compelling. And they are the majority of what economists circulate.

And then the conversation turns, and out comes the superior dismissive insufferable gaslighting.

And you think: “Why ruin analysis with psychosis?”

1:05 AM · Aug 01, 2022

“None of the usual criteria that **real** experts use says that we are in a recession.” - Prof. @paulkrugman

Have you dealt w/ economics professionally as an academic from another field? If not, it’s exactly like this: “Reason, fact, analysis, total bullshit, fact, a lie, fact.”

1:05 AM · Aug 01, 2022

I was lucky enough as a younger man to get to know Ken Arrow and Paul Samuelson slightly. They didn’t have this trait. Talking to Arrow or Samuelson was like talking to a research mathematician, biologist or physicist at the time. It wasn’t switching between reality & propoganda.

1:05 AM · Aug 01, 2022

So my model is that Economics really changed. The old guys who did the most to lay the foundations were a lot less high on their own supply. They welcomed interactions with other disciplines. It feels like the 1970s transformed economics into something less intellectually honest.

A) I have always believed that almost all Unidentified Flying Objects are just that: something unremarkable that is not identified.

B) That has nothing to do with the issue of the remainder. It takes no more than a *single* confirmed inexplicable event.

1:18 AM · Oct 29, 2022

Beyond that, as I have told you, I am sure that I am being used by at least some of those who have come to talk to me. But I cannot come up with any explanation for some of the representations made to me. And I get more fed up by the day with USG playing “Lucy & the football”.

Shabbat Shalom everyone. Have a great weekend.

National Security isn’t license to gaslight & ruin the lives of ordinary folks who aren’t participating in IC games. It’s cruel, abusive & totally UnAmerican. Come up with better cover if you need it. But between bioweapons/UAP gaslighting, you’re playing god. And you’re not him.

1:18 AM · Oct 29, 2022

@nickpopemod I say exactly the same. But, to be fair, the skeptics can point to zero incontrovertible evidence (at least so far as I am aware)
Which is a big deal in my book. The soft evidence is not in their favor. The absence of hard evidence *available to citizens & scientists* is. đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

Hi @elonmusk: can we pay to see our acct. files and what algorithms were used against us specifically and collectively by the team gaslighting old twitter?

It’s worth a year’s worth of $8 monthly payments to me easily. Even to find out that it was all just in my head. ;-)

$96?

My heart is heavy. Institutional gaslighting of the type performed by Twitter is kinda my personal issue. You aren’t allowed to use a government, newspaper, university, hospital, police dept or communications company to make your “problems go away”. This is “Digital Wet-work”.

2:04 AM · Dec 03, 2022

Just have a primitive revulsion at the level of control of a bunch of very rich & out-of-control spoiled adult children.

Going to think rather than feel my way through this. I don’t love what I’m feeling, as it’s not kind or informative in any way.

ShabbatShalom to one & all.🙏

2023[edit]

LAW of GASLIGHTING: Any set of outspoken minds X on topic Y not aligning with modern institutions moves through 4 stages.

I) Speaking out about Y.
II) Speaking out about Institutional Gaslighting on Y.
III) Finding X(Y) Gaslighting is Y independent.
IV) Gaslighting *replaces* Y.

8:30 PM · Apr 12, 2023

Example:

I) “How can it be that the ONLY thing we know about COVID is that it couldn’t be from the Wuhan lab.”

II) “How is asking about Lab origins of COVID racist? That’s both stupid & insane.”

III) “Supporting the Police is also Racist?” “Math is racist?”

IV) It’s all fake.

8:39 PM · Apr 12, 2023

In simplest terms:

To the outspoken, everything eventually migrates toward focus on institutional gaslighting/smear campaigns.

Don’t believe it? Pick your 3 favorite public minds challenging institutional narratives.

Now look for the signs of this trauma.

So: How’d I do?

🙏

One world under narrative driven gaslighting at all times.

If you don’t believe it, you likely haven’t tried speaking out about what doesn’t make sense to you *completely* independently of your politics being left right or center.

When I finally understood, and told you that something *huge* was up in this space, this is what I meant: anything from aliens to gaslighting our own team. This headline is nuts! But we have now crossed the barrier from rumor to sworn testimony under oath: https://t.co/ELATREqbML

6:29 PM · Jun 06, 2023

This is also your regular reminder: you need to rescue your theoretical physicists who are not free to break ranks any more than your virologists, immunologists, epidemiologists were from Fauci/Collins.

Your scientists are not free to keep you safe from rogue NatSec/DoD/IC. 🙏

6:36 PM · Jun 06, 2023

I still have *Zero* hard evidence that this is real at the level of crafts. None. Lots of rumors with no hard evidence backing up any of it. Nothing has changed on that front.

It may well be a massive psyop, but it can’t be nothing. It has to be huge one way or the other. As you can now see here.

6:41 PM · Jun 06, 2023

@ScottAdamsSays That doesn’t get you out of the puzzle as it has progressed to this point. It just points in the direction of USG disinformation. Is that the call?

Or do you think a lot of sober folks are part of spontaneous mass delusion? I’m open to having this simplified Scott.

The Tuskegee Principle:

8:56 PM · Jun 21, 2023

And Avi Loeb is involved as well. Neither appears to be be making any claims about objects defying known physical law.

I stand by my statement: Something is wildly off. Either:

A) Our pilots are crazy and/or liars.
B) There is a psyop gaslighting our own people.
C) We are too incompetent to call our own people.
D) There is secret long-standing involvement of top scientists.
E) There are some crazy seagull and Mylar balloon effects.
F) A cult of UFOs has infected the pentagon.
G) China and others are taking over our airspace and we are using UFOs as Ana excuse rather than dealing with the problem.

But this is so stupid to be this far in with so much bullshit.

I’m embarrassed for us.

Here’s a question.

Assume your family has been *directly* targeted by your own government using deception, espionage, covert agents and dirty tricks in the past. Is it really a sign of mental illness to incorporate that into the present and take precautions against it by asking hard questions?

Challenge: Why do we allow the public gaslighting and *smearing* of people whose families have been previously revealed to be FBI, CIA or other targets?

I’m genuinely curious to hear *ANY* defense of this whatsoever. Any at all. The floor is yours.

10:47 PM · Jun 05, 2024

One question I get a lot is "What explains your asymmetric focus on Democrats and the Left?"

A) Reach.
B) Reputation.

It’s not a bad take at all from 2022!

“That seems odd.” —->Conspiracy Theorist!

The party is increasingly about one thing: “Let us think for you.

Everyone. Full stop.

🙏

Just arrived in the Bay Area at the invitation of @NicoleShanahan’s campaign to sit down with my friend and colleague Stanford Prof.

We will work to make this a great X space. Thanks to @elonmusk for keeping this platform free. Please retweet and share Nicole’s tweet with anyone who wants to end the usual gaslighting to get back to what we do best.

Let’s get that American mojo back.

1:05 AM · Aug 07, 2024

Imagine for one moment that we said what was likely true:

“It is imperative to those charged with protecting and enforcing the international ‘Rules Based Order’, that the United States and its security allies have a backdoor to all file encryption as well as every encrypted communications platform.”

Then we could at least discuss what is going on. We could debate its pros and cons and the moral constraints it raises. We could discuss it in the context of the need for search and seizure in rare circumstances codified by law.

But calling it “Democracy”, or the need to end “On-line disinformation” Is turning whatever this is into an embittering slide into propoganda, gaslighting and tyranny. This is madness.

If you think “the people” can’t be let in on democracy, you have a tough road ahead.

You can’t spread democracy by having to thwart it at every turn.

Which raises the question: if not democracy, freedom and free speech, just what is it that we are spreading?

3:56 PM · Aug 28, 2024

Please follow @MikeBenzCyber.

A) The actual intelligence community.

3:38 PM · Jul 05, 2025

I would like to talk to @MickWest and @michaelshermer and @francis_collins and @neiltyson and @seanmcarroll and @nytimes about the role of debunking and discrediting professionals who do not buy into narratives that are later found to be cover stories about national interest.

3:38 PM · Jul 05, 2025

We need to talk about what debunking was before it became “Covert influence operations”, “Image Cheapneing”‘and personal destruction warfare.

So let’s talk.

3:41 PM · Jul 05, 2025

This is part of the problem with debunking.

5:21 PM · Jul 05, 2025

I think you are avoiding the reality that at a minimum, our government(s) is/are almost certainly faking a UFO/NHI presence from time to time.

Operation-Overlord-GvHs17VWYAAUr2D.jpg
8:21 PM · Jul 05, 2025

@SamHendren89 @MickWest @michaelshermer @Francis_Collins @neiltyson @nytimes Yes. And?

8:43 PM · Jul 05, 2025

Let’s find out if true.

Some of it is nukes.

9:58 PM · Jul 05, 2025

I appreciate the thoughtful answer.
